Chapter 18
There wasnât a snap, I just blinked my eyes, and I was back in the underworld. Pandora standing before me, her face grimaced. She was watching the exchange between myself and Liam. She knew that if I had shown up with any warning Liam would have figured it out quickly and would have hidden himself away, she did it this way so we could catch him in his village.
âI am utterly indecent,â she spoke in a sultry tone, trying to hide the grimace that was on her face. She had summoned me to her room where she stood before me naked. Not much she did shocked me anymore and nakedness didnât bother me. She knew that my answer was going to continue to be no to be being her mate. She seemed fine with that answer, but I doubt she would ever stop showing her overly sensual side to me. Maybe it didnât even matter that it was to me, I am sure she would be willing to show her nude form to anyone.
âYes, you are,â I responded with a sigh, âYou send me there for this information?â
âHe gave you, his sword!â She gasped, walking over to me. She didnât care to hide her nakedness from me, and it didnât bother me. She gently touched the sword with her fingertips as I held it out.
âHe said it was a key,â I mentioned, knowing she had already heard the exchange, âI assume you already know what it unlocks.â
âIt has been the key to lock Erebus away in all of his forms. It can be wielded by those it chooses,â I could tell she was annoyed. She turned her back towards me and walked towards her vanity. She sat down and began brushing her long red her, âThat is what Llewellyn has been looking for. He wanted to use it for his own selfishness. Liam wouldnât allow that to happen, which is why I was surprised he so willingly gave it to you. I expected a fight at least. How boring.â
âBoring?â I watched her as she brushed her hair, she was being careful now to keep herself covered by her hair. Her body language was different than normal, her confidence wasnât at the forefront as it normally was. Whatever this unlocked made her uncomfortable.
âYes,â she looked at me through the mirror, âBoring.â
âWhat is making you nervous?â I asked her and she shrugged, âWhen are you going to tell me the story of what happened with them?â
âWhen you read her words, you will see it for yourself. Maybe you will get to know everything, Iâm not sure what is in her journal, honestly. I watched her write entries a couple times late at night while crying, she was trying to be as honest as possible through her journey,â her emotions filled the room around us, a deep sorrow.
âI wish I could have experienced more of who Nova was, the effect she had on everyone Iâve met so far as been so deep. I can only image,â my words were weak as comforting others wasnât exactly my forte.
